The Romanian American Business Council has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with the Timis Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture on December 19 in Timisoara. The objective of this protocol is to establish a formal guideline of co-operation between the two organizations, in order to promote trade and investment, stimulate business partnerships, enhance bilateral trade and investment relationships, diversify cooperative activities between the parties, encourage and develop investments in the private sector and business partnerships between the parties and above all, promote and facilitate trade and commercial opportunities between the members.
The event coincided with the anniversary of 30 years since the start of Romanian revolution, the uprising against the tyranny of communism in Romania, and with the visit by the new US ambassador to Bucharest, H.E. Adrian Zuckerman. At the signing of the agreement were present Mrs. Florica Chirita, the President of the Timis Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, as well as many other dignitaries from City Hall and Timis County. The RABC will represent many of the interests and needs of the Timis county enterprises from the private and state sector, and have a dedicated full time employee to serve such needs in New York City.
