On Wednesday, February 17, H.E. Ion Jinga, the Romanian ambassador to the United Nations met privately during a Midtown Manhattan luncheon with the Board Members of the Romanian American Business Council.
Ambassador Jinga welcomed the creation of the RABC and had a more in-depth understanding of the status of the organization, its mission and the multiple projects and endeavors laying ahead for the Council.
During the two-hour long discussion, numerous issues were disused, from Romania’s position at the UN in the current geo-political environment, to the situation in Europe, the Syrian refugees crisis, the role of the Romanian Diaspora in the US and moist importantly – how the RABC can contribute to the endowment of the Romanian community and the growth and development of the bilateral US –Romanian relations.
At the meeting were present Stefan Minovici, RABC president, vice presidents Valentin Pipa and Andre Cappon, as well as founding members Andreea Dumitru, Cosmin Panait and Cristina Minovici. Other founding members were unable to attend due to overseas assignments or prior commitments.
