What is to be done?

Following the results of the first round of presidential elections in Romania, Stefan Minovici has met on December 4, in Washington DC with the leadership of BGR, the renowned public relations and lobbying firm. The topics of discuss were the concern of the outcome of voting, in the Presidential elections, as well as the expectations regarding the ECE policies of the incoming Trump administration. Mr. Calin Georgescu, an unknown candidate, with no financial backing, or any party support, won a stunning victory over established ruling parties and perceived leading candidates in this historical election. The subsequent annulment of the results of the voting, followed by the benching and disqualification of Mr. Georgescu, has cast a major disappointment and doubt regarding the democratic election process in the country.  Consequently, it generated much distrust and turmoil in the entire electoral process in Romania.

Stefan met with Jeffrey H. Birnbaum, the President of BGR Public Relations, Fred Turner, Principal, U.S. Foreign Policy, National Security, Senate and House Policy and Procedure, and Frank Ahnrens, Principal, Media Strategy, Content Creation, social media, Relationships with U.S. Media, Economics and Politics. Jeff is the President of BGR Public Relations.

The changes in the US administration and policies will no doubt reflect America’s position vis-a-vis the war in Ukraine and the role of Romania in this much polarizing conflict.

Following this appointment, Stefan met with on the same day and on the same topics with Mike Turner, the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Mr. Turner, (R-OH) the Co-Chair pf the Romanian Caucus in the House of representatives, now serves as Vice-Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
