RABC Relaunches the American Hospital Project for Romania

The long-awaited project for the Minovici Medical Center in Romania is gaining momentum once more, under the auspices of the Romanian-American Business Council. Designed as a world-class American facility in Romania, this project is focusing on the outpatient care for chronic disease treatment as well as for preventing critical diseases in Romania.

With the demand for modern healthcare rapidly growing in the country and with an ever rising US military presence as well as the American ex-patriot community, this 200 bed facility will address some of the needs and requirements for a US healthcare facility designed, built, equipped and operated by an all-American dream team. Among our partners are Johns Hopkins International, Turner Construction, Syska-Hennesey and Perkins+Will.

The hospital will address and seek remedies for illnesses that are taking the heaviest toll on the Romanian population, such as diabetes, cancer, cardio-vascular diseases, orthopedics and not in the least, trauma. There are two strategic locations that are under review: one outside the city limits of Cluj-Napoca and the other in an area located north of Bucharest.
