2025 Festival

The Twenty-Fourth edition of the Romanian Day Festival on Broadway-the largest Romanian festivals in the United States-is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025.
As always, it will take place on Broadway in the Financial District beginning at the Bowling Green Park Plaza.
The unprecedented number of participants, counted by the New York City Office of the Mayor to be around 70,000 attendees, will be a challenging figure to surpass in 2025. However, we are confident that with a greater number of artists and legendary talents, we may be able to attract even a larger audience at this edition.
We remain grateful to all of those who made this event possible, from our generous sponsors to the high-ranking officials who were involved and supporting this one-of-a-kind event. Among them were H.E. Andrei Muraru, and his dedicated team, as well as the Consulate General of Romania in New York, led by the honorable Mihaela Simona Florea. We are also thankful for the involvement of the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York, under the leadership of its director Mr. Dorian Branea. There were the renowned mititei all over the Ave. Beginning with renowned Romanian producer Carmen Esei as well as many other members of our community from churches to entrepreneurs who were challenged by the number of clients and the environment a little too hot to handle. For the first time we were joined in our efforts by the HiSky airline, who after two long decades was able to relaunch direct flights from Bucharest to New York. Indeed, the long wait was finally over among the other sponsors participating were Mount Sinai international Hospital, Balkanica Foods, Epure-Lizac Law Firm, Minovici Medical Development the Romanian Mission to the United Nations, and many others. I take this opportunity to thank our devoted RABC team, the men and women who tirelessly and successfully completed this extraordinary project. I also want to thank my family, my wife and sons for their devotion and dedication and for their support prior and during the event on Broadway. We are eternally grateful to EDSTA, our social media guru, who is certainly credited for attracting thousands of participants at our festival. Thank you, brother! Last but not least, a huge thank you to Mrs. Lia Lungu, our renowned singer who has been an integral part of this unique event since the very beginning in May of 2000. This festival is part of mine and my family’s entire American life, and my way of showing deep respect and appreciation for my native country.

Finally, we would like to extend an open invitation to all Romanian municipalities, cities and regions of Romania for our next, 2025 edition. This festival is part of mine and my family’s entire American life, and my way of showing deep appreciation to my native country
We do expect big names to attend, such as soprano Angela Giorgio, maestrul Nicolae Botgros and Lautarii orchestra, Zdub si Zdob, Vatra Danse Moldova, Lupii lui Calancea, Lia Lungu and others.

Thank you all for making this possible! See you on Broadway!
