Centennial Recognition for Romania from the Lone Star State
The Honorable Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas has issued an official proclamation dedicated to the Centennial of the Great Unification of Romania in 1918.
“The face of the world was forever changed as Romania unified in 1918 and proclaimed a modern, democratic and sovereign nation” declared the Texas Governor.
The Romanian Ambassador to Washington DC, George Cristian Maior has thanked Gregg Abbott for the honor mentioning the significant role played by the American President Woodrow Wilson to see this historic event come to fruition. There is a significant Romanian population in Texas, the second largest state in the Federation, that is home to over 28 million people and generates 1.6 trillion dollars in revenues.
