Dan Miclea graduated Communication and Public Relations at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration. His main field of interest is public policy in the Romanian healthcare system – effective and efficient mechanisms of public policies implementation, design and application of a model for the sustainable management of health in Romania.
Another area of interest is in developing innovative solutions for adverse events data collection and patient communication management.
With a solid experience in b2b services for pharma and healthcare, since 2005 he is managing partner of Media Kompass and of two other companies from the same group, providing media, PR and consultancy services for the Romanian pharma and healthcare private sector.
Since 2013 he is representing one of the companies he is managing, Healthcare Digital Info, in the Healthcare Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham).
In 2017, he has launched a report on Romanian illegal online ads regarding buying/selling medicines from uncontrolled sources, with high risk of counterfeiting, triggering the alarm on the danger represented by fake medicines.
In 2018, he has been the initiator of the workshop on immunoglobulin shortage in Romania, with an aim to put together all the relevant stakeholders in order to promote the policy model that suits the Romanian market.
Before 2005, when he started his own company, Dan Miclea worked for several years in the advertising and medical publishing industries, managing pharma and consumer health accounts.
