Alexandra Ion is a young professional living in NYC, currently working as a Legal Analyst at Kobre & Kim, LLP, a global boutique law firm focused on financial litigation. In this role, Alexandra assists attorneys with analysis of complex factual patterns and evidence, detailed legal research, and the drafting of briefs and other court filings.
Previously, as a summer intern in the Bucharest office of the U.S.-based public affairs firm McGuireWoods Consulting, Alexandra tracked political, legislative and media developments in the target industries of international companies with substantial investments in Romania and assisted in preparing PR strategies for these investors. She also worked as an intern in the Strategy and Investor Relations department of oil and gas company OMV Petrom.
Alexandra graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2015 with a B.A. in International Relations. Her senior thesis examined the interplay between international investment and migration, and the level of generalized trust in Eastern European countries. While at Penn, Alexandra played on the varsity tennis team, serving as co-captain in her senior year. She was named an ITA Scholar Athlete all four years and she was the recipient of the Norman J. Goldring Award for the female athlete with the highest graduating GPA.
