A Candid Exchange in Bucharest with Nicoleta Paulic, the Chairwoman of the Defense and National Security of Romania

On November 10, 2021 the leadership of the Romanian American Business Council met with Senator Nicoleta Paulic, Chairwoman of Defense and National Security of Romania, at the Senate building in Bucharest. Senator Paulic is a rising star in Romanian politics and recently became a strong candidate for the cabinet position of Defense Minister. During the hour-long discussion, the two covered the current status of military acquisitions, the offset program requirement on the bilateral relationships with Raytheon, a defense giant whom the RABC leadership has work with for many years. They also discussed what is to come for the future of the defense industry in Romania. Mr. Minovici has proceeded to invite Senator Paulic to join him in meeting relevant politicians in Washington D.C. as well as New York early next year.
